The charity engages with influencing policy through a range of consultations, primarily with the Department of Health, The Home Office, Local Authorities and local Health Trusts. HIV and the Law
Staffordshire Buddies is working with other national and local groups to lobby for moderate approaches to policy on the criminalisation of transmission of HIV.
Asylum
We have been actively engaged in advocating for the fair treatment of asylum seekers living with HIV including articles in local and national media.
Home Office State of the Sector Panel
The Charity has been selected to feed back to the panel which advises the Home Office on the range of issues affecting the voluntary sector.
World AIDS Day

The charity sits on a number of local forums and committees to represent issues for people living with or affected by HIV/AIDS and to inform the local sexual health agenda. |
