HIV Services Case Worker ‘Delivering high quality community and centre based Support’ Staffordshire Buddies has a strong history of providing HIV, sexual health and advice services and we are also looking for a person with enthusiasm and understanding around equality and diversity to make a difference. Following a staff member leaving to live out of the area we are seeking to appoint a case-worker based at our Lichfield centre who can work in a growing specialist team. We provide one to one support in a variety of outreach settings including community health-work, home visiting as well as supporting and facilitating workshops, groups and activities for people living with HIV in Staffordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who believes in person centred work with a very good understanding of people and groups to make a difference. Candidates with good communication skills, passionate about addressing discrimination and disadvantage are encouraged to apply. The role also includes assessment, support work and advocacy with training provided. As this role includes community based working an ability to travel is necessary so a full driving licence is required. Closing Date for applications: 12 noon on Thursday 5 th January 2012.
