This is the first of a regular addition to Positive Lives from our centre services development worker about recent events and forthcoming attractions. 4th Feb: The new planters were painted by Maureen, Vicki and myself and then in the afternoon joined by Ann when Ann and I filled the planters and planted the bulbs. (See here for more details and Photo) 9th Feb: The showing of the Red Ribbon Riot proved to be a jolly event with ice-cream and pop corn on hand to add to the atmosphere. 14th Feb: Sarah, Bob, Maurice, Maureen and me and others attended the presentation by Danny La Rue at The Club (see here for details and photos) A great night was had by one and all. 16th Feb: Shrove Tuesday was celebrated in real style when Andrew R provided some tasty pancakes (made by his own fair hands). We had maple syrup, fresh orange, fresh lemon and lashings of sugar. Thank you Andrew, it was an afternoon to remember. Drop in attendance has been very good over the last 2 months averaging between 6 - 10 each Tuesday and Thursday. It’s nice to see such a wide variety of members of the community attending. There have been a number of new people attending and I hope that they feel that the centre is safe place for them to meet other positive people. There have also been a number of people who haven’t been for a while who have returned and it’s nice to see them back. Future Events 30th March: The 1st Anniversary of BP Staffordshire Tuesday 2.00pm - 4.30pm This will be a closed meeting at which not only BP Members but all positive people are welcome. 1st April: 2.00pm - 4.30pm Easter Drop-In with a raffle for some special Easter Eggs. Cakes and and eggs provided. The centre is slowly changing with a refurbished computer room, better displays of up to date leaflets covering a wide spectrum of subjects. There are also new CDs, Videos, books and newspapers. Come along to have a look. You will be pleasantly surprised.
