![]() ![]() NEEDS YOU Following MUSICAIDS most successful year in 1998 with concerts in the North and South of the County we are looking forward to 1999 - big time. Lichfield Cathedral is provisionally booked for December 1st - World AIDS Day itself and by popular request at St Peters Stoke too. Since MUSICAIDS inception the pattern has been for Maurice the main man and myself as person Friday to bounce around a few ideas calmly, early in the year and being a blind panic by October. The last two years have seen the pair mitigated be a growing band of stunning volunteers. (Our performers have always been truly professional and generous of their time and their talents.) As you can imagine with the scale of this years task, Maurice and I are to put it bluntly bricking it. Myself because of enforced change of employment I cannot guarantee long term availability as person Friday and Maurice because the task in hand is mammoth. Following discussions with Ian our treasurer we feel we need an action/support team to assist us with this years concerts. This is where you come in. We are proposing to hold an informal meeting at the Piccadilly Centre on Tue 23rd March at 7.30pm to plan the best way forward. If you are committed to raising awareness of the issues surrounding HIV & AIDS, have enthusiasm and time to spare wed like to see you on that date. If you know someone else who would like to help, please bring them along.
