... a misused word, which means different things to different people.

Most People need support, information and a feeling of being understood when they are diagnosed with an illness like HIV. Many people find ongoing support helpful, medication is causing them a problem, relationships are going badly, you just feel low, are all issues that people bring to counselling.
Some of my work is with people who are HIV negative, or who do not know their status. Perhaps they were abused, or raped in the past, perhaps they feel they put themselves at risk of contracting HIV repeatedly and want to understand why. The issues that are brought to counselling are as diverse as the people.

I feel humbled by some of the stories I hear and amazed at the strength people have.

I work alongside Julie and if anyone reading this feels they would benefit from seeing one of us, do please contact me on 01782 400512.

Life can be an amazing experience, it can also be very difficult and hard. It is at these times we need someone to walk beside us, to understand us and to care.
