For those
of you who remember last August, the events team kicked off their first
fundraiser with a Charity Evening at Pastiche Bistro in Hanley, raising
over £1000. This
year our major fundraising is centred around two events in summer. It
began with a benefit night at The Club, Hillcrest Street, Hanley, on Friday
22nd June, where we launched a prize draw. The draw will take place on
Saturday 11th August, at Tilstock Airfield, Shropshire, when two of our
supporters, Ruby, form The
Club, and Russell, a volunteer, will be making a sponsored parachute jump.
Please try and support these fundraisers. Raffle tickets and sponsorship
forms will be available by mid June. I’m sure for those of you who know
Ruby, will enjoy her decent from 10,000 feet. Watch out for the new outfit!!!!!
The proceeds from these events are going to our Support Fund, which provides
small grants for clients in immediate financial need. Every penny raised
from fundraising goes directly to benefiting those living with HIV or
AIDS. Administration costs are met through separate specific funding.
